Change Your Life!

When you wake up in the morning, do you automatically pick up your phone to scroll on social media, read the news or check your email? Did you know this can be extremely detrimental to your mental health?

In doing this, your body & mind automatically go into reactive & response mode causing unnecessary stress & anxiety. This is setting yourself up for a hectic morning instead of beginning in a relaxed state with your own thoughts.

There is good news though, YOU have the power to change that starting tomorrow morning! That is the beautiful thing about life, YOU get to choose how you spend your time.

By incorporating a morning routine, you set the tone for your day, set yourself up for success & gain a sense of control. Your routine should leave you feeling calm & satisfied knowing that you have prioritized yourself, even for 5 minutes, before you go about your day at work or taking care of your kids and/or loved ones.

Morning routines will look different for everyone and can range anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 hours - YOU make it whatever you want & what you have time for. There is no right or wrong way.

To give you some inspiration, here is what my morning routine currently looks like:

  • wake up at the same time every morning, 6:30AM

  • drink fresh celery juice

  • wash face, apply serums & moisturizer followed by facial gua sha

  • get dressed/ready for the day

  • then drink warm lemon water

  • brush teeth & take supplements

  • meditate anywhere from 5-30 minutes (depending on the day)

  • write 3 things I’m grateful for & set an intention for the day

  • eat a nourishing breakfast & write out to-do list for the day

Doing this every morning not only sets me up for a nice day, it leaves me feeling inspired, present, energized & grateful!

Do you have a morning routine? If not, I challenge you to create one that inspires you! Even if that means waking up a little earlier than normal. I promise you...it will change your life!

xoxo Holly
